You can be whoever you want to be. This is a cliché that has been around for ages. The use of this cliché may be frowned upon, but it doesn’t make it less true. A man can change his stars, override fate and decide who he wants to be in this world. But perhaps a dog can do that as well?

You know those fun family movies where animals play sports where real life technicalities are bypassed? Well, it seems that we’re getting a glimpse of that and it is definitely hilarious! Seeing this video clip, I won’t be surprised if we start seeing animals play professional sports in the future.

poodle, dog, pet

Soccer is the world’s favorite sport – loved by all and even revered as if it were a religion. Apparently, our furry friends are starting to get in on the craze. Perhaps those crazy moves by Lionel Messi have captivated the imagination of our pups. In this video, however, the curious canine acted as a goalkeeper.

The video took place in Argentina where a Federal A-League match between Juventud Unida and Defensores de Belgrano was taking place. One of the goalkeepers is about to punt the ball upfield but then a player from the opposing team intervened. He stuck out his foot to block the ball from going upfield.

audience, bleachers, crowd

The ball fell to the grass and the goalkeeper was caught off-guard. The opposing player then kicked the ball as if striking a goal. Usually, referees tend to stop the play when this happens and the goalkeeper is given the chance to kick the ball again.

That is why the goalkeeper was seen in the video raising his hands in protest. Little did he know that he had a backup. Just when the ball was about to go in, a dog came out of nowhere and blocked the ball. The ball was deflected and it went out of bounds.

Now I am older I have had my own dogs and find it hard to live without one. On that note I thought it would be nice to put some useful information about dogs for all the dog lovers like me on my Website.
